In-Depth Look: Fitness Facility

Fitness is one of the keys to good health and wellbeing. At Hoag Concierge Medicine, we understand this, and are proud to offer a state-of-the-art, fully-equipped fitness facility for our members. The complete gymnasium allows us to educate our patients and demonstrate what we’re suggesting they do to improve their health in real-time, at the same place as their other comprehensive health visits.

Equipment 

Here is some of the equipment you can find in the gymnasium:

  • TRX
  • Free Motion Dual Cable Cross
  • TRX RIP trainer
  • TRX kettlebells
  • Pilates Reformer (core stability and control)
  • Bosu ball
  • Free weight dumbbells

Care in Action 

Our exercise physiologists are here to help you reach peak performance by looking at injury prevention or areas for improvement such as flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular reserve. There is always a fitness trainer or exercise physiologist on the floor monitoring the space for safety and to help answer any questions for the members. 

Take Control of Your Health 

Our fitness facility is open and available to all our concierge members, a benefit that comes with a Hoag Concierge Medicine membership. Members can come in at any time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. One-on-one personal training sessions are also available to members at an additional cost, and as an added benefit at no extra cost, we offer 1-2 group classes per week for our members!

Examples of Workouts in Our Gym

Stationary Bike:
  • Warm up for 5 minutes
  • Increase resistance on bike
  • Sprint hard for 20-30 seconds then slow for 10 seconds
  • Repeat for 8-10 cycles then finish with 5-10 minute cool down
Rower Machine: 
  • Warm up for 5 minutes
  • Increase resistance and row hard for 1 minute
  • Drop to slower row pace for 20 seconds 
  • Repeat for 8-10 cycle 
  • Finish with 5-10 minute slow pace cool down
